tucky, has heretofore, to -mit: on the 3rd day of thy, 1920, adopted an
ordinance entitled, ''AIL ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RECOIISTRUCTION OF THE
DRIVF'.7.iY ON iFCRTH SECOND STREET, FROM THE NORTH PROPERTY LIFE OF JEFFERSOII
STREET TO THE SOUTH -'ROPEI?TY =11 FE OF MOI;ROE STREET, IN TIE CITY OF PADUCAH,;
KENTUCKY, AT THE COST OF THE ABUTTING PROPERTY HOLDERS, AND PROVIDING THAT
SAID IPIF ROVEI IT SHALL BE MADE UPON THE TEN YEAR PAYLaNT PIAN,- and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said ordinance, it was provided that
the cost of the construction of said street be paid for by the abutting
property owners, on both sides thereof, except that portion to be paid by
the City of Paducah, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered into on
October 8th, 1920, by and between G. W. Katterjohn.& Son of Paducah, Ken-
tucky, and the City of Paducah for the construction thereof, and
LTEREAS, said contract has been completed, in all respects, and

the work thereof finished and accepted by the Board of Commissioners of
i
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on the 2nd day of Tay, 1921, pursuant to
the recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner of Public Affairs of
the City of Paducah, Ientucky, and pursuant to a motion made by said Com-
missioner, which motion was duly carried; NOW, THEREFORE, i

PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both sides of Forth Second Street,
from the Forth property line of Jefferson Street to the South property
line of Monroe Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and the same

is hereby assessed for the cost of the construction of said street the sum
of 57.9601 per abutting foot, by paving same with concrete, as shown by
the E'ngineer's estimate, which is on file in his office, .hich estim<.te
is made a part hereof.
SECTION 2,
That all of the funds derived from the assessment of said property,
aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of pa0n; off the Special Tax bills
issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the Cit;; of

That pursuant to Section 3101 of the I'ortucky Statutes, as amend
ed and -re-enacted .by an Act of the General Assembly of the Common77calth

said assessments may be - at the option of the property owners - payabl
in cash -within thirty (30) days from the date of the passage and record
in.- of this Ordinance, or in ten (10) annual installments, pursuant to
the provisions of said Statute.
SECTION n.
In order to provide a fund for the immediate pa orient of the cost
of that portion of the special assessments herein provided for, '.hich
may be paid on the IIISTAL12E:ITT-PAL.IEITT-FL'UT, as hereinbefore provided
for, the City of Paducah may issue and sell Improvement Bonds, and to
secure the pa7,ment of which bonds, there is hereby pledged such taxes
and liens on the property assessed herein for the payment of the prinei-
p.^1 and interest on such bonds, but such bonds shall not be sold for
less than par, and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively to payment
for the improvement of said street as hereinbefore mentioned, and such
bonds, if issued, shall bear interest, end shall be payable it accord-
ance with tl•e provisions of Section 3101 of the Zertucky Statutes, as
amended and re-enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of
Kentucky for 1910, and contained in said Act hereinbefore mentioned.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its uassa:c record and publication.
