HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 7, Page 704, No Resolution NumberA RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE DRIVX"AY ON JEFFERSON STREET, FROLI THE -JEST PROPERTY LINE OF SE17EIlTEEITTH STREET, OR FOUNTAIN AVENUE, TO THE :'!EST PROPERTY LII7E OF TWENTY-FIFTH STREET, BEING APPROXII.aTELY 3110 LIPiE'R FLET, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AT THE COST OF THE ABUTTING PROPERTY O',7PrERS, AND PROVIDING THAT SAID MAY BE CONSTRUCTED UPON THE TEN YEAR PAYIcT.ITT PLAN. ;7HEREAS, it is a necessity and desired by the property owners that the driveway on Jefferson Street, from the ':'lest property line of Seventeenth Street, or Fountain Avenue, to the ','lest property line of Twenty-fifth Street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be constructed of improved paving material; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF 002:4111ISSIOI1ERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the driveway on Jefferson Street, from the ;lest property line of Seventeenth Street, or Fountain Avenue, to the 'Jest property line of Twenty-fifth Street, being approximately 3110 Linear feet, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be constructed of concrete, tarvia, Kentucky Rock Asphalt, or any other improved paving material, as may be determined by the Board of Commissioners as the best and most eeono• No. ,A) .... _ Ordinance No.._.______.____._ mieal material for the construction thereof, and all of which shall be ii done upon the Ten Year Payment Plan, and assessed against the abutting* pro - Ii Iperty owners thereon, on both sides thereof; except that the Paducah Rail - Tway Tway Comp any, which owns a strip of ground through the center of said str^et !twenty feet wide and abutting on both sides of said proposed improvement, i ishall, by reason of its abutting on both sides of said improvement, be assessed and pay one-half of the cost of said construction, and that the "cost of paving such portion of said street so abutting upon said strip of. ground, which belongs to the Paducah Railway Company, shall be assessed against said Paducah Railway Company, and a tai: shall be levied upon all Ithe property, assets and franchises of such Company in the Cite of Paducah for the payment thereof. SECTIOPI 2. The City Solicitor is hereby directed to bring in an ordinance for the construction of said work, after the adoption and publication of this Resolution, accordinc to law. SECTION 3.
