tucky, has heretofore, to -wit: on the 22nd day of March 1920,"adopted an

COST OF THE A:BUTTIPG PROPERTY O !KERS, AID PROVIDING :2H.4T SALE SH" -LL BE

t_e cost of the construction of said street be paid for by the abutting
pro'oerty oriners on both sides thereof, except that portion to be maid by the
City of Paducah, as required by law; and

of the City of Paducah, .Kentucky, on the 15th day of November 1920,
pursuant to the recommendation made therefor by the Commi,>sioner of

SECTION 1.
That all of the property on both sides of Fourteenth Street,
from the North property line of I:ionroe Street -to the South property
line of Clay, Street, in the City of Paducah, r'entucky,,be, and the i
i
same is hereby assessed for the cost of the construction of said street,
the sum of 74� per abutting foot, by grading and- graveling* same, as i
I
shown by the Engineer's estimate, which is on file in his office,
which estimate is made a, part hereof.
SECTION 2.
i
That all of the funds derived from the assessment of said pro-
perty aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of eying off the
Special Tax Bills issued against said property, or such bonds as may
be issued by the City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the
Kentucky Statutes -
SECTION 3.

That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as
amended and re-enacted by en Act of the General Assembly of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky of 1910, entitled, "AI11 ACT TO _^_:.EPID AND RE-
ENACT SECTIOITS 3094, 3096, 3097, 3098, 3099, 3100, 3101 and 3102 OF

CITIES OF THE SECOND OTS.SS," said assessments may be - at the option
of the property owners - payable in cash within thirty (30) days from
the date of the passage and recording of this Ordinance, or in ten
(10) annual installments, pursuant to the provisions of said Statute.
SECTION 4.
In order to provide a, fund for the immediate pa?anient of the
cost of that portion of the special assessments herein provided for,
which ma,y be paid on the installment -payment -plan, as hereinbefore
provided for, the City of Paducah may issue and sell improvement i
bonds, and to secure the payment of 'which bonds, there iS hereby
pledged such taxes and liens on the property assessed herein for the
payment of the principal and interest on such bonds, but, such bonds
shall not be sold for less than par, and the proceeds thereof applied .

be payable in accordance with the provisions of Section .3101 of the Ken- i
Lucky Statutes, as amended and re-enacted. by the General Assembly of the
Commonwealth of Kentucky for 1910, and contained in said Act hereinbefore
mentioned.
SECTIOP? 5.
,-Phis Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
massage, record and publication.
