BE IT ORD_INED BY THE BOARD OF COkMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUC:_H, KENTUCKY. -
Section 1. That Section 80 of an Ordinance entitled "in Ordinance de-
fining additional duties of the chief of the Fire Department and making
him ex -officio building inspector, and making the City Electrical
Inspector assistant building inspector, and establishing rules and
regulations concerning, the erection and construction of buildings in
the City- of Paducah, Kentucky, and extending the fire -limit of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, and providing penalties for violations of any of
the provisions hereof", approved by the payor nugust 28, 1911, be, and
the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following words,to-
wit:
" except permits granted for improvements where the cost
thereof is Thirty -Five (5)35.00) Dollars or less, and in which event
no fee shall be charged for the issual of the said permits."
So that said Section when so amended shall read as follows, to -wit:
FEE S.
The fees for building permits shall be as follows: In case
the estimated cost of any proposed change, alteration, addition or
erection of building or structure shall not exceed the sum of five
hundred dollars (Q500.00), the fee therefor shall be one dollar (5x1.00)
for.such permit; for over five hundred dollars and not exceeding one
thousand dollars (11,000.00) or a fractional part thereof, the fee
shall be one dollar and fifty cents (•;1.50); for over one thousand
dollars and not exceeding two thousand,dollars(a2,000.00) or a fractional
part thereof, the fee shall be two dollars (Q2.00); for over two
thousand dollars and not exceeding thirty-five hundred dollars (Sj3,500.CD )
or fractional part thereof, the fee shall be three dollars (Q3.00); for
over thirty-five hundred dollars and not exceeding five thousand dollars
i(5000.00), or fractional part thereof, the fee shall be five dollars
(N5.00) and for every one thousand dollars (w1000) over five thousand
dollars, or fractional part thereof, the applicant shall pay the addi-
tional sum of twenty-five cents (25�) for such permit. Provided further,
that no permit shall be issued by the Building Inspector for a sunk less
