HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 7, Page 534, No Ordinance Number311131 J/ Ordinance No.-- AN o. _AN ORDINANCE TO FURTHER REGULATE THE USE OF CERTAIN STREETS AND ARTS OF STREETS BY AUTOMBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES, AND PRESCRIBING , PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF. i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKi': SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful :for any person, firm or corporation to park any automobile or other vehicle, or to leave any such automobile -or other vehicle standing on the Tarts of streets herein indicated, to -wit: The East side of Second Street from Broadway to. Jefferson i Street; the East side of Third Street from Kentucky Avenue to Jeffer- son Street; the East side of Fourth Street from Kentucky Avenue to I Jefferson Street; the East side of Fifth Street from Kentucky Avenue .to Jefferson Street; the North side of Jefferson Street from First Street to Fifth Street; the South side of Kentucky _avenue from First Street to Fifth Street. SECTIOI? 2. It shall be unlawful Or any person, firm or corporation to park any automobile or other vehicle, or to leave any such automobile i or other vehicle standing on the parts of streets herein indicated, to- nit: On the (lest side of Fourth Street for a distance of Eighty Feet from the curb line on the North side of Broadway to the North property ,line on Fourth Street of the building fronting on Broadway at said corner o. Fourth Street and Woadway;, and on the ';'lest side of Third Street for a distance of Seventy Feet from the curb line on the South side. of Broad= way and extending back to the property line on South Third Street of the building (mown as the First National Bank building. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation causing or permitting any passenger vehicle to stop or to stand in any part or parts of the streets mentioned And described in Section 1 of this ordinance, except __1or the purpose of immediately receiving or discharging passengers, shall be deemed guilty of violation of this ordinance, and any person, firm or corporation causing or permitting any other vehicle to stop or I stand in any parts of the streets mentioned and described in Section 11 of this ordinance, except for the purpose of receiving or unloading goods, wares, merchandise or other commodities, or in hauling or do- livering same, shall be deemed guilty of a violatiDn of Section 1 of this ordinance. Any person, firm or corporation violating the provi- sions of Section 1 of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five nor more than Twenty Dollars. Any person, firm or corporation vio- lating the provisions of Section 2 03 this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five nor more than Twenty Dollars. No.Zd-- Ordinance No... _ . ---- SECTION 4.
