Ordinance No.... _ V=AS, the service rendered by the Dean fire system and apparatus installed in the fire station is negligible, same not averaging over half a dozen alarms a year; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of both the City of Paducah and the Paducah Home Telephone & Telegraph Company to eliminate same, retaining the police alarm system, which is to be used also for registering fire calls by telephone; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C01UHISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, I'.EINTUCEY: Sec. 1. That the said Dean fire alarm system be discontinued and the maintenance of the police alarm system for both police and fire calls be continued, at a cost of 2.50 per month until Iriay 28, 1920 for each alarm box, with a rebate of twenty-five cents (25c!) of such cost per month on each box on account of the elimination of the fire apparatus, the cost of each box net per month to be 52.25. Sec. 2. That the Telephone Company shall remove the hook in each box registering fire alarm and insert in each box a notice instructing alarms to be sent by use of the telephones in each box. Sec. 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and record. PASSED BY THE BOARD OF COT-UTISSIONERS DECE,,BER 8th, 1919.
