AN ORDINANCE REGULATING MOTOR VEHICLES UNDER THE POLICE 2W `RS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION OF AUTOMOBILES
AND P:iOTOR VEHICLES AND THE LICENSING OF SALE , THAT ARE USED OR OW11ED AND
OPERATED BY PERSONS. -RESIDING IN THE CITY OF PADUCP-H, MITUCICY, ADD
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM:,,IS3IOIIi3S OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH , KENTUCKY:
Section 1. That it shall hereafter be unlavrful for any person
or persons, individual or individuals, corporation or corporations,
company or companies, 'to use or operate any automobile or motor vehicle
used for pleasure, hire or business, vdthin the limits of the city of
Padir,ah, .without first having registered same and obtained a license to
use and operate the same and paid the necessary license fee thereon, as
hereinafter provided.
Section 2. That each and every person, corporation or company
hereafter using or .operating any vehicle mentioned in the first section
of this ordinance shall register the same with the Commissioner of
Finance of the City of Paducah, on or before the first day of ISarch of
each year, giving the character of the vehicle, motor number thereof,
and the horse power thereof, and having the same registered and paying
a, license on such vehicle, as folloms:
For each and every motorcycle X1.50 per year.
For each and every automobile or motor truck_ not
exceeding 30 H. P. inclusive ......................
5.00'
For each and every automobile or motor truck of
over 30 H. P. and up to but not including 40 H.P. 7.50
For each and every automobile or motor truck of
40 H. P. and over .............................:...10.00
Section 3. That this ordinance shall not apply to or affect
persons ovming or using vehicles who do not reside .,,ithin the corporate
limits of the city of Paducah.. _
Section 4. That any person or persons, corporation or corpora-
tions, company or companies, failing to comply with the provisions of
this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than five (5)
nor more than fifty (y 50) dollars, to be imposed by a judgment of the
Police Court of the City of Paducah.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be is force
from and after its passage, record and publication.
