UNLAWFUL RATE FOR ANY ARTICLE OF PUBLIC UTILITY RENDERED BY SUCH PUBLIC
UTILITY CONTANY TO A CONS VI ER OR PATRON.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of
the City of Paducah, that it shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
company or corporation supplying any article of public utility within
the corporate limits of the city of Paducah, to any consumer or patron,
intentionally to demand, accept or charge any unlawful rate or charge
for the public utility articles or service rendered or required to be
rendered under its contract or franchise with the City of Paducah to a
consumer or patron.
Section 2. Be it further ordained that any person, firm,
company or corporation violating the provisions of this ordinance shall,
upon conviction thereof before the Judge of the Paducah Police Court, be
fined not less than five dollars nor more than -fifty dollars, which
shall be forfeited to t -he City as a penalty for the violation of the
provisions hereof.
Section 3. Be it further ordained that this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and afuer its passage, record and
publication. y �—
