Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky:
Section 1. That subsection four of section one of an ordina-ce
entitled "li-ci'Ordinance Providing for the Appointment or Retention, b;
the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, of Certain City
Officers, rents and .Employees of the Oity (if Paducah, Kentucky, ,_,Cl
Fixing Their Salaries, Pouters and Duties," passed by the Board of
Commissioners January 29, 1918, be, and the same is hereby amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows, to -wit:
Subsection 4.
SAI!ITaY OFFICER. There shall be appointed by the Board of
Commissioners one Sanitary Officer, who shall receive a salary of
Seventy (ti�70.00) dollars per month. Such sanitary officer shall be
the inspecting sanitary officer of the Board of Health, wort: under the
supervision and direction of the Board of Health and the head of the
Departmrit of Public Affairs, and perform such duties as are be,uired
of hire by the said Board of Health :and the Departr.e-_t of Public iffai.rs,
from tdmie to time, and such othor duties as reel ue reouired by hire by
the Bo _--rd c Commissioners.

duties as hereinbefore required of the regular sanitary officer.
The additional sanitary officer herein provided fur shall Te YbYm
the duties of motorcycle officer and fly -trap tender, and any other
duties that may be required of him by the Commissioner of Public affairs,.
Commissioner of Public Safety, or the Board of Connissioners. Such
additional officer, porforminz ;;le duties of motorcycle officer, shall
receive a salary of Seventy-five Q75.00) dollars per month; one-half

of said salary to be charmed to the Department of Public Afrnirs, and

one-half to the Department of Public Safety.
Section 2. That subsection eight of section three of said
ordinance, be and the some is hereby aaended and -re-enacted so as to
read as follous,.to-wit
Subsection 8.
P-TRUL iliSMAS. There shall be appointed by the Board of
Commissioners two patrol drivers, with police powers, who shall draw a
salary of Seventy-five (;x75.00) dollars each, per month. Such patrol
drivers shall be assigned to their duties, and the hours fired winn they
shall be on duty, by the Commissioner of Public Safety, who shall have the
authority to change such hours or such duties, from tine to time, as 'rte
shall see :fit, and they shall perform such duties as may be required of
them, from time to time, by any ran} -ins officer or the Board of Corsnis-
sionert.
Section S. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and record.
