BE IT ORDAIIIED BY THE BOiRD OF CUI'IiISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADW-H, KEiiTUCKY:
Section 1. That a census is hereby ordered taken of the population of
the City of Paducah, and information touching upon the following Inter-
rogatories is ordered to be furnished by all persons residing in said
City of Paducah. All persons residing in said city are hereby required
to answer fully, correctly and truthfully the questions pertaining to
their names, sea, age, race, whether married or single, horn long living
at their present address, their last residence, how long living in
Paducah, their occupation, where employed, whether disabled, whether a
subject of charity, school attendance, war service, whether an alien,
how many in family, whether a rentor, in whose property they live,
water service, gas service, electric service, telephone service, sewerage
and toilet.
Section 2. That the Mayor and Commissioner of Safety shall select and

designate such present employees of the city as shall be necessary to
take such census; shall direct their work, receive the report of same
when work is completed, and present sante to the Board of Commissioners,
and that the work shall be executed during the months of November and
December 1917.
Section 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAIIIED that any person or persons refusing
to give the information desired by such census enumerators or violating
the provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon a conviction in the
Paducah Police Court of the City of Paducah, be fined in any sum not
exceeding Fifty 0'50.00) Dollars.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage
and record.
