Sec. 1. That Section Six (6) of an ordinance entitled, "AII

passed by the Board of Commissioners January 22, 1915 and recorded on
January 23, 1915, be, and the same is hereby amended so that said
Section when amended shall read as follows, to -crit:
Section 6. The application of persons required to make
application under Section 5, to sell spirituous, vinous or malt liquors,
shall state the name of the person or corporation applying for same,
and if a firm, the names of each individual composing said firm,
together with their postoffice address, and shall further state that
the applicant agrees to permit no gambling, or slot machines to be
operated, on the premises on which said liquor is sold, and that the
applicant is not directly or indirectly interested in any gambling,
gambling room, device, slot machine, or game, and that there is not
now, nor will he permit there to be any means of ingress or egress to
or from place of business, to or from any gambling room, or rooms, in
which any gambling is carried on or slot machine is operated, and that
he will not permit or suffer same to exist; that one of the express
conditions of the granting of such license shall be 'that the applicant
agrees that during the life of such license he will not violate any
of the laws prohibiting the sale of liquors or intoxicants to minors,
or the laws or ordinances governing and controlling the sale of spiritu-
ous, vinous or malt liquors, on Sundays or election days, and that said
applicant will abide by and will faithfully observe all laws regulating
or controlling saloons, or the sale or handling of spirituous, vinous
or malt liquors, and that should the applicant fail to live up to the
terms, conditions and stipulations set out in said application,
together with all ordinances of the City of Paducah, or laws of the
State of Kentucky, that same shall be considered a violation of the
agreement entered into between the City and said applicant, when
granted said license, and the Board of Commissioners shall be authorized
to revoke or suspend the license granted, application for which is
fftade, and, further, that a conviction in the Paducah Police Court, of

the applicant, for a violation of any of the laws of the State of
Kentucky, or ordinances of the City of Paducah, controlling or regulating
the sale of spirituous, vinous or malt liquors on Sundays or to minors
or inebriates, or in violation of any law of the State of Kentucky or
ordinance of the City of Paducah, shall be prima facia evidence that this
agreement has been violated, and the license granted shall be revoked or
suspended by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, and the
application signed by the applicant shall be authority of said Board of
Commissioners to revoke said license under the conditions therein set
out.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
