raMREAS, the position with respect to Weights & Measures and the
position of Dog Catcher in the city of Paducah are at present combined,
and the duties of the two respective positions are imposed upon one
person; and,
VIHEREAS, it being impracticable for one person to properly attend.
to the duties of one position without necessarily neglecting the duties
of the other, and it, therefore, being absolutely necessary, for the
better efficiency of each of said positions, that the office of Assistant
Dog Catcher be created- now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C01MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PriDUCAH, MITUCKY:
Section 1. That the office of Assistant Dog Catcher is hereby
created, whose duties shall be to attend to all dogs running at large in
the City of Paducah and to catch and impound them where he finds same
running at large contrary to law and ordinances of the City of Paducah.
Section 2. That the said Assistant Dog Catcher shall Cork
under the direct supervision and under the control of the Inspector of
Weights & Measures and Dog Catcher, and shall at all times be subject to
his orders and directions.
Section 3. Said Assistant Dog Catcher shall be elected by the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah and shall hold his office
at the pleasure of said Board, and his salary shall be Nine Hundred
0900.) Dollars per year, or at the rate of Seventy-five (y75.00) Dollars
per month, which salary shall be paid to him out of the contingent fund
of the City of Paducah.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and record.
