WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Padimah,
Kentucky, has heretofore, on the 21st day of August 1916, adopted an
ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ILIPROVELENT OF LIONROE
STREET COLir,BNCIIiG ON THE EAST LINE OF LOTS T4 and #13 IN WHAT IS 190.0 AS
THE 'FOUNTAIN PARK iiDDITION" TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, THENCE
WESTWARDLY THREE HUNDRED (300) FEET, IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUOI'Y, BY
GRADING AND GRAVELLING SALIE"; and,
;WHEREAS, in accordance with said ordinEnce it is provided that
the cost of the construction of said street be paid for by the abutting

property ovmers on both sides thereof, except that portion to be paid by
the City of Paducah, as required by lac; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was, on the
6th day of October 1916, entered into by -and between Harry Ross, of
the City of Paducah, and the City of Paducah for the construction of
said street; and,
WHEREAS, said contract has been completed in all respects
and the improvement therein provided for has been accepted by the Board
of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky , on the 2d day of
February 1917, pursuant to recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner
of Public ,7orks of said City- now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO1.2.7ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, FENTUCKY:
Section 1. That all the property on both sides of said street be,
and the same is hereby assessed the sum of One Dollar and Tt.enty-four
cents (�"1?1.24) per front foot for the cost of construction of said street
by grading and graveling same.
Section 2. That all the funds derived from the assessment of said
property shall be used for the purpose of paying off the special tax
bills issued against said property, pursuant to Section 3096 of the
Kentucky Statutes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, approval and publication.
