WHERBaS, in accordance vilh said ordinance it was provided that the
cost of the construction of snio sidewalks, curbs, putters, severs,
intakes, manholes and catch basins shall be paid for by the abuttinz
property owners on both sides of said street, except that portion to be
paid by the City of Paducah, as required by law; and,
OHEaEsS, pursuniA W 2id ordinance, a contract was entered into by
and between Prosser & Lalliday, of the city of Cairo, State of Illinois,
and the said City of Paducah, for the construction thereof, on the 150
day of September 1916; and,
hHEREA.S, said contract bus been completed in all respects, and the
work thereof finished and accepted by the Bourd of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, on the 15th day of January 1917, pursuant to recommenda-
tion made therefor by the Commissioner of Public ',.'orks. of the City of
Paducah; now, therefore,

Section 1. That all of the property on both sides of Sixth Street,
from the South property line of Washinoton Street to the North curb line
of Tennessee Street -except on the West side of Sixth street, between
'iashinton and Clark Street, in front of the !.CCIacken County Court House
property,- in the city of Paducah, be and the sme is )wr&y assessed the

driveways.
Section 2. That all of toe funds derived from the assessment of
said property aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the
special tax bills issued against said property or such bonds as may be
issued by the City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky
Statutes.
Section 3. That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes,
as amended and re-enacted by cin pct of the General Assembty of the Common-
wealth of Kentucky of 1910, entitled '1ndi tCT TO 1,IIEIiD 'tND 1%E-E!i_QT

IL -SS", said assessments may be -at the option of the property ovmers-
payaule in cash within thirty (30) days from the date of the passage and
recording of this Ordinance, or in ten (10) annual installments, pursuant
to the provisions of said Statute.
Section 4. In ord(er to provide a fund for the immediate payment
of the cost of that portion of the Special assessments herein provided
for, which are to be paid on the installment -payment -plan, as hereinbefore
provided for, the City of Paducah shall issue and sell Improvement Bonds,
and to secure the payment of which bonds there is hereby pledged such
taxes and liens on the property assessed herein for the payment of tha
principal and interest on such bonds, but such bonds shall not be sold
for less than par, and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively to payment
for the improvement of said sidewalks, curbs, gutters, nianholes, catch
basins, intakes and sewers as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds
shall be issued and shall bear interest, and shall be payable in accord-
ance rith the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes as
amended and re-enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of
Kentucky for 1910, and contained in said Act hereinbefore mentioned.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall tvkc effect and be in force
from its passage and the recording of same.
