AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE ABUTTING PROPERTY ON BOTH
SIDES OF THE ALLEY BETCiEEd TENTH AND ELEVENTH STREETS AND TENNESSEE
AND JONES STREET IN PADUCAH, IM4TUCKY, THE, SUI.I OF THIRTY-ONE (31�)
CE11TS PER FRONT FOOT ON THAT PORTION OF SAID ALLEY TWENTY (20)
FEET L IDE AND TWENTY-THREE (23�) CENTS PER FRONT FOOT FOR THE
PORTION OF SAID ALLEY FIFTEEN (15) FEET CrIDE.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah has heretofore, on the 15th day of May 1916, adopted an
ordinance entitled, "A?d ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE I71PROVEi.TI1T
OF AN ALLEY BEGINIIING ON THE WEST SIDE OF TE11TH STREET BET[IEEN
TENTH AND ELEVENTH STPEETS AND MINESSEE APTD JONES STREETS, AND
RUNNING CESTWARDLY TWO HUNDRED (200) FEET, THENCE AT RIGHT ANGLES
RUNNING IN A SOUTHERLY DIRECTION TO JONES STREET, IN THE CITY OF

UHEREAS, in accordance with said ordinance, it is pro-
vided that the cost of construction of said alley shall be paid
for by the abutting property owners on both sides thereof, except
that portion to be paid by the City of Paducah as required by
law, and
',.IEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was, on
the 12th day of September, 1916, entered into by and between
Richard Bell and the City of Paducah for the construction of said
alley, and
' WHEREAS, said contract has been completed in all re-
spects, and the improvement therein provided for has been finished t
and accepted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, on the 10th day of November, 1916, pursuant to recommen-
dations made therefor by the Commissioner of Public Works of said
City, now, therefore -
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COL11ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, 1ENTUCKY:
Section 1. That all the property on both sides of said alley be,
and the same is hereby assessed the sum of thirty-one (31�) cents
per front foot for the portion of said alley Twenty (20) feet in
width and twenty-three (23V) cents per front foot for that portion
fifteen (15) feet in width for the cost of construction of said
alley by grading and graveling same.
Section 2. That all of the funds derived from the assessment of
said property shall be used for the purpose of paying off the

special tax bills issued against said property pursuant to section
3096 of the Kentucky Statutes.
iSection 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, approval and publication.
