BE IT ORDS>INED BY THE XARD OF COIJIISSIONERS OF THh CITY OF FaDUCAH:
Sec. 1.
It shall be unlawful for any operator or person to manage or control
or operate any moving picture machine in the City of Paducah who is
under the age of twenty-one years, and it shall be unlawful for any
owner of such moving picture machine to employ any such operator or
person to mana4e or control such machine under the age of twenty-one
years.
Sec. 2.
It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of eighteen years
to be an assistant or apprentice to any operator or person in control
or management of such machine, md. it shall be unlawful for any per-
scn under the age of eighteen years to be employed by any other
person to assist in the operation, management or control of such
machine, who is under the age of twenty-one years.
Sec. 3.
Before any person is allowed to operate, manage or control any such
moving picture machine in the city of Paducah, r4 shall first be

examined by the Superintendent of the City Light Company's plant, and
if such person so examined shall, to the satisfaction of such Superin*-'-
tendent, be sufficiently qualified, and shall farther shod to such
Superintendent, to his satisfaction, proof of having had at least
three years' experience in the operation of such picture machines,
then such Superintendent shall issue to mah applicant a permit to
operate such machines in the City of Paducah, and such person shall
not be allowed to operate such machines without first having obtained
such permit.
Sec. 4.
Before a person shall be allowed to be an assistant or apprentice to
an operator of such machines, he shall receive from such Superintendent
a permit so to do. an examination of such assistant or apprentice is,
however, not required.
Sec. 5.
Any one violating either Section of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a rnisdemaanor, and fined not less than ten ()10.) dollars or more than
Fifty (ti50.) dollars for each offense.
Sec. 6.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed.
Sec. 7.
This ordinance shall go into effect upon its passage, approval and
publication.
