A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SANDERS E. CLAY AS C0I:MISSIONER OF
PUBLIC SAFETY, HAL S. CORBETT AS C01,11ISSIONER OF PUBLIC PROPERTY, 111D
GEORGE C. WALLACE AS COlUJISSIOITER OF PUBLIC FINANCE, OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
WHEREAS, the McCracken Circuit Court has rendered a judgment
declaring void -except as to L. A. Washington- the election for Mayor
and Commissioners held in November 1915, and declaring vacant the
offices formerly held by Thomas N. Hazelip, C. L. Van I.Ieter and George
C. Wallace, Commissioners of the City of Paducah, and Ernest Lackey
as Mayor of the City of Paducah; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted him by law, the
Governor of the State of Kentucky, Honorable A. 0. Stanley, has duly
and regularly appointed George C. Wallace, Hal S. Corbett and Sanders
E. Clay as Commissioners of the City of Paducah, and Ernest Lackey
as I.'ayo-r of the City of Paducah, to hold their offices for such term
as may be provided for by law, and has issued his several commissions
to said appointees respectively; and,

WHEREAS, said commissions have been duly and regularly
filed with the Clerk of the Board nf Commissioners of the City of
Paducah, and said appointees have duly and regularly qualified and
executed bond in all respects as required by law, and are now the duly
appointed and acting Commissioners and Liayor,.respectively, of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUIMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
Section I. That Sanders E. Clay be, and he is hereby designated and
elected as Commissioner of Public Safety of the City of Paducah; that
Hal S. Corbett be, and he is hereby designated and elected as Commis-
sioner of Public Property of the City of Paducah; and that George C.
Wallace be, and he is hereby designated and elected as Commissioner
of Public Finance of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
Section II. That said hereinbefore named Commissioners shall perform all
of the duties of such respective offices as prescribed by law and
ordinances of the City of Paducah, for such time and in such manner as
is prescribed by law.
Section III. This Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and record.
