BE IT ORDAINED BY ?`HE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,! KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Fourth Street from the North property ,line of Monroe Street ii , to the South property line of Madison Street; Fourth Street from the South' property line of Washington Street to the North property line of Clark Street; Washington Street from the West property line of Fifth Street to the East property line of Sixth Street; Monroe Street from the ',gest pro- perty line of Fifth Street to the East property line of Sixth Street; II Monroe Street from the 'lest property line of Sixth Street to the East i� No. S61 1_9 Ordinance No.— property line of Seventh Street; Kentucky Avenue from the West property ;,line of Ninth Street to the East property line of Tenth Street, or Murrell, Boulevard; Tennessee Street from the :Pest property line of 1.1urrell Boule- 'vard, or Tenth Street, to the West property line of Twelfth Street; },ion - roe Street from the West property line of Ninth Street to a lire parallel. to and five feet eastwardly from the center of the Last track of the Illinois Central Railroad near Tenth Street Street; Monroe Street from a line parallel to and five feet westwardly from the center line of the '.Jest track of the Illinois Central Railroad near Tenth Street to the East property line of Eleventh Street and from the ',lest property lire of Eleventh Street to the East property line of Twelfth Street-, on Second Street from the South property lire of Washington Street to the North property line of Clark Street and on Third Street from the North property line of Monroe Street to the South property line of L'adison Street, in the City of Paducah. Kentucky, be, and the same is hereby ordered to be constructed with concrete, or any other improved paving material, as may be determined by the Board of Commissioners as the best and most economica material for the construction thereof, and that all necessary manholes, catch basins, intakes and sewer pipe connections be made, upon bids made therefor, and all to be done in strict accordance with the plans, grades, specifications, widths and profiles prepared in the office of the Commis- sioner of Public 'Yorks, and all of which are adopted as a part of this ordinance, as fully as if embraced herein or attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked "A" for more specific identification. SECT ION 2. That said work shall be constructed under the direction and supervision of the Commissioner of Public +vorks, and shall be commenced at the time designated by contract for the performance of said -cork, and completed on or before December 10th, 1925. SECT ION 3. The cost of such construction of se id work shall be paid for wholly by the property owners abutting or fronting thereon, to be appor- tioned to and assessed against the property and property owners abutting thereon, according to the number of abutting feet thereon, except that portion to be paid for by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required by 1 aw. SECTION 4. The Contractor awarded the contract for the work herein, shall be paid as provided in Sections 3096, 3100, 3101 Pnd 3102 of the Kentucky ,Statutes. SECTION o. The 1,ayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all No. le,9 ; Ordinance No, (written contracts and bonds with the successful bidder for the construction of said improvement, as required by law. SECTION G. Bids shall be received for the construction of said improvement, according to the plans and specifications made and provided therefor by the Commissioner of Public ,9orks, and the contract therefor shall be award- ed to the lowest and best bidder, except the richt is expressly reserved to reject any and all bids, Within the discretion of the Board of Commis- sioners, but they may accept any bid which is for the best interest of the City of Paducah. SECTIO N 7. The Commissioner of Public Works is hereby liven the right and authority to advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement, but the manner of advertisinp. and the time and place for receiving said bids shall be desienated by the Board of Commissioners.
