Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
S1ec,I That the Mayor 0j t,'r,a Mayor, of the City of Paducah is hereby ordered and auth-
orized to employ a man to operate the Elevator in the City Hall in the City of Paducah
at a salary not exceeding Forty Dollars (40.00) per month.
Sec,2 Such employe mall be subject to removal, and shall perform his duties
between such hours as the Mayor of the City of Paducah may direct,
Sec,3. Tis ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, approval and
publ-i.cation,

JUNE 6th, 2903.
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
Sec,I, That Section 3 of an ordinance, entitled, "An Ordinance fixing the salary of
the City Clerk of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, "approved June 6th. 1903, by D.A.
Yeiser, Mayor, -be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following
words:"Except that the City Shall pay to the Clerk the sum of Two Hundred Dollars
($200,00)per year in equal monthly installments, for the purpose of paying the
s,.'_ary of a deputy clerk, whose duty it shall be to attend and take the Minutes of
suchBoard of the General Council tA the Clerk may direct him, and to write up the
.Minutes of such Board and to enroll the Ordinances to t3 enrolled in the Journal or
iOrdinance Book of such Board, "-So that said Section when so amended -shall read as
'follows, to-1it:-
%ec,3, The salary herein fixed as compensation of the city clerk shall be in full
:compensation for 'any deputy that may be employed by the clerk, except that the City
shall pay to the clerk the sum of Two Hundred Dollars (,6200,00) per year in equal
mor:thly installments, for the purpose of paying the salary of a deputy clerk,whose
,duty it shall be to attend and take the Minutes of such Board of the General Council
:as the Clerk may direct him, and to write up the minutes of such Board and t'o enroll
:the Ordinances to be enrol.ledin the Journal or Ordinance Book of such Board,
:Sec.2, This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, approval and
