Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Pfd ueat,, Kentucky.' Sec. 1. 'That the sidewalks, curb and gutt ers, together ,°i t necce.;sary manholes, intakes, catch basins aa -d seg- ers, on both sides of Meyer street from a point vrhere same inter^sects the north property line of Farley Place to a point where same intersects the soft h end of Island Creek bridge: and on Fourth street 11 from a point where same intersects the north end of Islanc) Creek bridge to a point where same intersects the south curb line of Broad street, in the City Paducah, Kentucky, - be, and the same is hereby ordered to be tructed: originally con, that said sidewalks and gutters shall be ronstructed of concrete material and the curb shall be of t;;ranite, suitable in all respects for such construction: all to be alone in strict ac:' or dame vfith the plans, grades, specifications idt?1s and profiles of the Ci Engineer, made cr.cl proigided by him fm sual p�pose, 0.11 of ty adopted as a part of this ordinance as- u11 vllici' are attached hereto and made a y as if embraced herein, or pert here of, and are marked "A° for more specific identification. Sec, 2, That said work shall be constructed under the direction of'the Board of Public works and the supervision of the City Engineer, and shall be commenced at a time designated by contract for the performance of :;,id work, encs completed on or before tvicelvte months after passage, approval e•nd pblicatiaa-, of this ordinance, I Sec. 3. The cost'cf such construction of said sidewalks, curb and gutters, and the neacessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, and sevrers, shall be paid s for by the property ovz%qrs abu•3ting or fronting thereon on both sides thereof to be apportioned to and assessed against the property and property owners abutting thereon on both sides thereof, according to the number of front feet abut✓ ing thereon, except the City of Paducah shall pay the Entire cost of al]_ intersections ..of streets, ano. public alleys, if any suchthere be. Sec. 4. The contractor awarded. the contract for the work herein provided for shall be paid oibly upon estimates furnished by the CiV Engineer, and approved by the Board of Public Works in accordance with the terms of the contract made by the contractor awardad said contract and the City of Paducah for said v or , and in no other way.
