and any addition, or additions thereto, and defining; his
duties and qualification,
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, kentucky,
Sec, 1, The salaries of the sexton., or the keeper of Oak Grove Cemetery,
'in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and t e same is hereby fixed a' eight
hundred and forty (R„^rO,G dollars per anum, to be paid to said sexton, or keeper
in eqz al monthly ensta.11_ments out of the City Treasur of the City of Paducah,
as othar salaries are paid, and this is 'to be in full payment of his services.
Sec, 2, He shall give bond in the sum of one thousand (;1000.00) dollars
for the faithful performanCe of his duties according to lair.
Sec, 3, The sexton, or keeper of said cemletery, and any a Dition, or

additions thereto, shall be of good moral character, with a reputable family,
sober, industrious, with a knowledge of ornamental gardening, vno shall. reside in

the house provided therefor on, or adjoining the cemetery grounds during his
employment, and subject to said ceme',cry committee, and the ordinances and resolu—
tion � of the General Council, shall have full charge of said cemetery. It shall 1
oe his duty to keep the same in good order and see that the monuments, vault
enclosures, , shrubbery, fences and other improvements are not da„t\aGeJ, defaced or '
destroyed by cattle, stock or otherwise. He shall observe and obey carefully k
all orders piven to him for execution by z-aid cem,aery committee where they 6o
not conflict with ordinances, resolutions, and orders of the General Council in sc
relation to said cemetery. Ie shall open the gate of the cemetery to visitors,
