whenever called upon shall weigh any article and give to the applicant a true certi-
ficate of the wei€ht, and fee or charge for weighing.
SECTION 3 -,ie shall have charge of the public scales; keep same in good order

SECTION 4 --The City Weigher hhall keep a suitable book in which he shall keep
a record of each article weighed on the City Scales, the date when weighed, the
name of the person having same weighed the weight of such article and the amount of
the fee charged for weighing same, This book shall be subject to the inpection of egy
one having any Erticle weighed on said scales and also to any person auth;irized by

Council, under oath, on the first meeting night of the General Council in each month
an abstract from said book shov.dng the article weighed on said scales during the
month next preceding such report,, the date vJhen weighecl, the name of the ownar of
the articles weighed, and the fees charfsed by the City Weigher,
SECTION 5 -That the salary of the City Teigher of the City of Paducah, Kyo,
be and the same is hereby fixed at Seven Hundred and Twenty Dollars per annum, to
be paid to said officer in equal month-ly installments out of the Treasury of
the City Bf Paducah, as otter salaries are paid, and this is to be in full pay for
his services.
SECTION 6-11e shall give bond ill the sum of rive Hundred Dollars for the faith
ful performance of his duties according to law.
SECTION 7 -For anv violation by him of the foregoing provisions he shall be
fined not less than ;�10.Q0 nor more than `25,00 for for each offense,
SECTION S -All Oridnances and parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed9 and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication,
