AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE OF
SUPERINTENDENT OF THE ELECTRIC LIGHT PLANT,
AND PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES THEREOF, ALSO PROVIDING FOR TIE APPOINTAI[ENT OF ENGINEER

FIRnMEN, AND LAMP TRIIIVIERS OF THE CITY ELECTRIC LIGHT PLANT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTTTCKv.
SECTTnN 1 -That the office of the Superintendent of t•hP City Electric Light
plant is hereby created. He shall be elected by the General council in joint
session at the meeting for the general election of officers in the month of December
of each year, for the term of One year, and shell hold nis office until his success&
is duly elected and qualified
SECTION 2 -The Superintendent shall be a skilled electrician, a -d particularly
possessed of capability and competency necessary to manage, control and operate an
Electric Light Plant to be used .for the purpose of lighting the streets and other
public places. He shall be required to rave an intimate knowledge of the manner
and method of a general electrician, t.o operate and run all machinery properly vd.th
reference to bcth Arc and Incandescent Lights,

City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of Two years, immediately prior to his

SECTION 4 -It shall be the duty of said Superintendent to personally supervise
