Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
Section 1. Fvery person firm, company, or corporation residing outside of the 'ity c
Of Paducah, Kentucky, that shall desire to conduct or operate eny retail buisness s.'.11
within the city of Paducah, Kentucky, on consignment or corimission, or by solicitor,
principle, agent, or otherwise, sh=.11 first, obtain a liconse so to do from the City q
Of Paducah, Kentucky, by naking application at the office of the City Clark of said
city sa hereinafter provided, and for which license tha sura of One Hundred Dollars,
(0100.00) per month, or any fractione.l part thereof, shall be charged.
Section 2. Fvery such person, firr:,Company or Corporation, described in pe,ragraph
one hereof, shall, before obte,ining the license herein required, file, with said
Clerk, under oath, a statement showint the nave and residence of such person, Com—
pany or Corporation, arxi the nature of the buisness proposed to t)e conductedy:.aiui'-:
al4.o the nave of the agent andths_office or place of buisness within said City where.
same shall be located or conducted.
Section.3. Any person, firm Company, or Corporation, that shall violate any of the
provisions of this ordinance, shall be deemed giiilty of a misdemeanor, and subject to
a fine of not less than Twenty aryl not more than Fifty Dollars for each offense,
and each day such buisness shall be conducted or carried on shall be considered a
separate offense.
Section. 4. Any advertisomcnt or solicitation of buisness for any. such person, firm
Company or Corporation, rosiding outside of the said City of Paducah, Kentucky,
shell constitute: conclusive evidence of such agency; and such agent or solicitor
shall be lir_ble in all respects as his principle for any violation horeof.
Section. 5. This ordinance shall take effebt anti be in force from and after its pass
a Fe, approval and publication.
