The City Depository shall be one of the banks of the City, JYhich shall be selected and designated by the City Treazurer. He shall make daily deposits in such Depository of all money received by hin for the CityP.n the preceding Twenty-four hours. He shall furnish to the Auditor once in each month, and at any time wi en demanded e. certificate from the City Depository showing; the balance on hand to the credit of the City, end also a statement of the gross amount and numbers of warrants or orders on the Treasurer paid by him since his preceding re- port. The Depository shall, before the City funds shall be deposited with it, execute to the satisfaction of the general Council, a bond to the City of Paducah in such sum or penalty as the General Council shall fix, for the faithful care and payment of all funds intrusted to it. SECTION 4 --le shall receive all notes, bonds and other evidences of in debtedness to the City, vhieh he shall account for, and he shall see that all persons bound to pay any money to the Tresaurer make due account and payment, and sha 1 promptly report to the General Council any failure to do so. He shall keep a register of all orders paid by him and of all money paid into the Treasury, describing such order by its date' number, amount and name of person by whom it was received., and to whom paid, and s.all cancel and file such orders. SECTION 6 -He must eb-.d execute and deliver to all officers or persons de- 9 positing with or paying him money, a receipt for the same. SECTION 7 -He shall perform such other duties as are required of him by the Statutory Laws Of the State of Kentucky,, and all Ordinances duly and regularly eh- actied by ti.,e General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky. --7CTION S -The City'Treasurer's office shall be in the Cit-; Hall Building, Paducah, Kentucky, and his office hours shall be from 9 o'clock A. M. to 12 o'clock M. and from 1:30 o'clock P. M. to 5 o'clock P. M, SECTION 9 -For a failure on the part of the City Treasurer to comply with any of the terms of this Ordinance he shall be fined in any sum not less than $10,00 nor more than Fifty Dollars, and each violation hereof shall be a separate offense. SECTION 10 -All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordirare are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
