Sec. 1. That there is here by created and establisher) a franchise to construct
maintain anrl, operate an electric light and. power system ;vrithin the City of

ibuting and selling electricity for lighting, po,=rer, heating;, and any other

and extend in, on, along, over or accrossany highway , street, alley or public

Sec. 2. That t}le withitt created franchise and prive2!ege shall begin wll.en the

Sec. j. All poles errected under this franchise shall be smooth painted, wogden or
iron poles.anrl shall be located Jir,st inside the curb line on t1;e sidewalks;
and the perchaser,,, ucessors or assigns, shall p14-,.ce, all streets, pavements
or other public plop es disturbed or dug up for the placginr_, of such poles, in as
good and complete condition or manrier 624 such streets and public places were befor6
such poles 'were placed -thereon. And the said purchaser, its successors or assif�rtsy
shall at all times comply with any ordinance which )She general council may adop t
directing changes of wires or alteration in the location of the poles of the

of Paducah in the sim of five hunderd dollars( 500.00.. to be aprove(I by the
I•?ayor of the City of Paduca:_, lentucky.
Sec. 10. That in the event of the ptarchaser or Pgrchasers of this Franchise
