Be it ordained by the General Council of the city of Paducah, Kentucky.
Sec. 1. THat from and after theassa

dinance, it shall be the duty of all persons desiring or contemplating opening,
j breaking or excavating in any street, alley, sidewalk, wharf or other public wavy-

Sec. 4. Any person, firm, company or corporation making any excaua—
tion or braking, or doing any digging on any street, sidewalk' alley,
1 wharf or other public way of the City of Paducah, without complying
with all the terms of this ordinance, shall be fined not less than
Five Doildrs nor more than Twer}yy—five Dollars, and each days's con—
tinuance thereof shall be a separate and distinct offense.
