WHEREAS, the General Council of the city of Paducah, Kentucky, has heretofore,
to writ;- On the
3rd day.of October, 1910, adopted an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinanc(,
Providing for the construction of concrete sidewalks and gutters, together with
granite curbing and all neccessary mcjnlioles, intakes, catch basins and sewers on
both sides of Broadway from Eleventh street to Fifteenth street, except the sidewalksl
Oil the north side of Broadway abutting the Illinois Central Railroad Hospital prop-
erty, in the city of Paducah, Kentucky", Approved by the Mayor October 22nd, 1910,
and,

WHEREAS, in accordance with said orcinance it was provided that the cost of the
construction of said sidewalks,curbs, gutters, sewers, intakes, manholes and catch
basins shall be paid for by the abutting property owners on both sides of said street,
except that ,portion reQuired to be paid by the city of Paducah by law; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered into by and between G.
W. Katterjohn of Paducah, Kentucky, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, fnr the con-
struction thereof, on the 24th day of January, 1911; and,
IMMEAS, said contract. has been completed in all respects and the work thereof
finished and inspected by the Board of Public Works of the City of Paducah, pursuant
to notice at a called meeting on August, 31st, 1911, and the acceptance of said

sidewalks recommended to the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and.,

WHEREAS, pursuant to scid recommendation of the Board of Public Works, the
General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on September 5th, 1911, accepted
said sidewalks, curbs, gutters, etc., now therefore, -
Be it ordained by the General Councit of the City of Paducah, Kentuck, r;-
Sec•. 1. That all of the property on both sides of Broadvr__y from Eleventh
Street to Fifteenth Street, except that portion of the property on the' NDrth side of
Broadway ovrned by the Illinois Central Railroad Hospital Company, in the City of
Paducah, Kentucky,+ be, and the same is hereby assessed the sum of,01.6M81 per -front

Sec. 4-. In orcler to provide a fund for the jr-mediate
payment of the
cost of that protion of the special assessments herein provided for, which
are to be paid upon the installment paymert plan, as hereinbefore provided
form the General Council shall issue and sell improvement bonds in antici-
pation of the collection of said special tax bills vr'tich are to be paid upon
the installment payment plan, and to secure the pa,,yn•:ent pf vrhich bonds there
is hereby pledged such taxes and liens on the property for the payment
of the principal and interest of such bonds, and such bonds shall be sold
for not less that par, and the proceeds thereof �2pplied exclusively to the
payment for the improvement of said sid.evralks, curbs and gutters hereinfiefore
mentioned, and suci bonds shall be issued in accordance with, and shall
interest in accordance with, and shall be payable in accordance with,
Section 3102 of the Kentucky Statutes, as amended and reenacted by the
General Assembly of the Commonvrealth Of Kentucky for 19107 and contained
in an act, entitled, "'An Act to amend and re-enact Sections 3094, 3095,
3097, 3095, 3099, 3100, 3101 and 3102 _of, the Kentucky Statutes relating to
the control and improvement of streets, public vrays, landings, wharves,
grounds and sidewalks ii1 cities Of the second class,"
Sec. 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, approval and Publication.
