HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 6, Page 10, No Ordinance Numberi� the dedicatyon of i71_0 the cceptnce of Paducah, gen- aao, by the City A resolution regulating ublic�'ays, streets, alleys, and other P retofore experi tucky• , has he- Whereas, t),e city Of Paduon,l Kentucky, by reason of the ac— enced great annoyance and suffered great expense, other publieways, in ceptance of the dedication of streets, alleys and d across certc-in territory � the city of Paducah, running through an alleys; and, such streets and platted before the dedication of alleys and public— as in a great many instances the streets, ' ways contained in said platted territory in the Cid oA Paducah, ken— ways tucky do not conform to the streets, alleys and other publieways con® tinguous to and abutting said platted territory; and, Whereas, this condition of affairs makes such streets, alleys and other publieways of she city of Paducah, both unsightly and incon- venient for the use of the public; now therefore, Be it resolved, by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Rentucky ; That from and after the pe.ssage, approval and publication Of this resolution , the city will not accept the dedication of any street, alley or other publicvray, in the city, of Paducah, .Kentucky, v4hich has been platted theretofore, unless said street, alley or other public- way is so platted under the direction, supervision and frith the ap- proval of the Board of Public Works ans the City Engineer, of t',e City Of Paducah; or unless said dedicated street, alley or other publicmray conforms in all respects to the streets, alleys and publieways of the contiguous or adjacent territoryof the Citu of Paducah; and, Be it further resolved: That the intention and meaning of this resolution shall Be in requiring said dedicated �,;ba7 ley or other public- way to conform to the streets alleys lleys or other publieways of contiguous or adjacent territory of the City of Paducah, Kentuck dedicated Street shall be so y' `'hAt said Platted or laid out other streets, alleys or other s to corn ect with publieways a Of the Cit ready constructed; or to $ nnect o y of Paducah, Al- with the t streets, alleys territory over which said or , other publieways of the dity would be const extended.
