An ordinance oxine the levy or rate of taxation on property of the City
Of Paducah for the year 1902, And the rate of the Pell Tax with the purposes
Of the said levy thereunder defined.
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky$
Soe.l. That there is hereby levied for the year 1902, upenthe taxable
property of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, real and portional, an advalerem
tax of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.60), pursuant to Section 167 of the
State Censtitutient and thirty-five cents (36¢), pursuant to Sectien3219 of
the Kentucky Statutes, making one dollar and eighty- five cents ($1.86)
total rate, on each one hundred dollars (,$100.00) worth of said real and tdtl+l
personal property in the City of Padueahi ar,d that there is alre levied n
Poll tax of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.60) to each male resident of the
city ever twenty-one (21) years of age for the said year of 1902.
See --2 That thirty-five cents (36¢() of the said levy, pursuant to Seoti
-on 3219 of the Kentucky Statutes, les■ three per cent(3,%)thereef, on the
said one hundred dollars ($100.00) worth of advalorem levy, be, and the
same In hereby levied for the purposee,use,support and maintenance of the
Common Schools of the City of Paducahl that the three per cent(3%) of the
saidthirty-five cent/ (36) levy is for the purposeo,use,support and mainte-
nance of the Public Library in the City of Paducah, which Is levied pursuant
to Sestlon 3210 of the Kentucky Statutes, leaving one dollar and fifty cent•
(S 1.60) oaf the one hundred dollars,$ ($100.00) advalerem, and the said poll
tax for said year, which are hereby apportioned, and to be used for, and

Sac -S That all revenues derived from lisensee and ether souress, and
celleoted by the City of Paducah, heretofore apportioned to go to the gen-
eral fund of the eity, are hereby ordained and apportioned to be dis-
tributed upon, and to swell the said respective funds and amounts herein
before apportioned, in proportion to their respective amounts, save and
except the school fund and library fund herein -before apportioned, which
school fund and library fund shall not be incree3e3 , fron or ;Lbovo the
amount arising from the advalerem tax of thirty-five cents (36¢) for the
two, as hereinbefore named, upon each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of taxi
-le property in the city for the said year.
See. 4. That the rate of taxation for each item of expenditure, as herein-
before apportioned and set out, shall be on each one hundred dollar. 0100.

Salaries, ten cents and two mills (,102),
Streets, bridges d fills, seventeen cents and four mills (.174)
Fire Department, twelve cents and three mills(.123)
Police Department, eighteen cents (.18)

Oak Grove, one cent and eight mills (.018)
Hospital, pauper and charity, three cents (.03)
