ALSO ! DEFINING WHERE LICENSES SHALL DATE FROM WHEN APPLIED FOR DURING THE LICENSE YEAR,* Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Paducah, Ky, BEC, 1.- That sub -section 2, of ordinance No.29, of the •Revised ordin- ances of the City of Paducah' entitled "Licensee", be, and the same is hereby amended by striking out after the words "per annum" all of said section, down to the and of the sentanee marked with a period; causing said sub -section to read, as amended, as follows, to -wit: - Upon each vehicle running in whole or in part for profit or hire in said City, or in connection with any business or trade as follows: - Each vehicle drawn by one horse or mule $5.00, Each vehicle drawn by two horses or mules $7.50. Each vehicle drawn by three horses or mules $10.. Each vehicle drawn by four horses or mules $15.00, and ofr each vehicle drawn by five or six norses or mules $20.00 per annum. And•each vehicle so licensed shall have tacked in a conspicuous place thereon the number furnished by the City Clerk for same. Y71"� 8EC,2- That any person who may have *Obtained from the City of Paducah kl !a license for any vehicle to run over the streets of the City, and who i may have entrusted to such, any person or property for delivery, or care, by reason of operating such vehicle, and who may suffer such person or property by reason of having same in custody, or who shall fail to deliver spme to proper destination, or who shall permit property to get broken or damaged while in his care for delivery, or in the handling of same, and who shall fall to make reasonable and satisfactory reparation to the party i,or parties who may have been damaged by such public carrier or conveyance, then his or their license shall be immediately revoked, and no license shal be granted to such person or firm, or to any one in the interest of such until satisfactory evidence Is peoduced that full reparation has been made for any damage caused by reason of such being a licensed public carri... er. SEC. 3- That all licensee issued for a shorter period of time than a full license year, shall be ievued from the -first day of the month in which the application Is made, that is to say that no license shall be Issued for a fractional part of any month. BEC.4.,That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with'' the provisions of this ordinance, are to the extent of such conflicting, hereby repealed and this shall Dake effect from and after its passage and approval.
