At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Ch
in the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:00 p.m. on August 5, 1969, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Com-
missioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 2:00 p.m., August 5, 1969, be received and filed. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor
Cherry (5).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
liability insurance policy issued by State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company to
V. L. Chandler d/b/a Chandler Plumbing Company, for a period of one year from
August 3, 1969, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
Certificate of Insurance issued by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company to the
City of Oaducah, Kentucky, covering work done by E. D. Hannan Company for a period of
one year from July 31, 1969, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the
Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Mrs. Carrie Mae Pitt
of the northeast corner of Lot No. 316 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak
Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance
to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,

Certificate of Insurance issued by Maryland Casualty Company, together with the
Performance Bond of West Kentucky Paving Company in the amount of $17,100.00, coverinc
resurfacing of Broadway from Thirteenth to Twenty-eighth Streets, be received,
approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5).

Department, as temporary laborers, at a salary of $2.00 per hour:

2. The following persons be employed in the Refuse Division of the Public Works
Department, as temporary laborers, at a salary of $2.00 per hour:
Emmett L. Newman, retroactive to July 25, 1969
