At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commisgioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on July 8, 1969, Mayor Pro
Tem McNutt presided in the absence of Mayor Cherry, and upon call of the Roll the
following answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem
McNutt (3), Mayor Cherry and Commissioner Lambert being absent.
Mayor Pro Tem McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey, that
the reading of the Minutes for June 24, 1969, be waived and that the Minutes of said
meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
the claim of Clara Weitlauf in the amount of $202.44 for damages to her motor vehicle
resulting from a city vehicle driven by Wesley Darnell striking her car near her home
at 703 Woodland Drive, on June 26, 1969, be allowed, and that the City Treasurer be
authorized to pay same after first obtaining a complete release from her and her
husband, Jack Weitlaud. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey,
Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear as
follows: I move that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of
Paducah to Lyda Wade of a parcel of ground 10 x 10 feet, being part of Lot 296,
Section 19 of Oak Grove Cemetery, for the sum of $200.00.
I further move that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of
conveyance to said cemetery graves. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioner
Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3).
Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that
the executed copy of the Contract between the City of Paducah and Paducah Brick and
Supply Company, Inc. for sale to the City of Manhole Castings and Steps be received
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Puryear and
Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem McNutt, as
follows: I move that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of
Paducah to Glynn H. Coryell of the south one-half of Lot 16 and the southeast quarter -
of Lot 16 in Block 3 of the Mausoleum Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, for the sum of
$1,050.00.
I further move that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of
conveyance to said cemetery property. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission-
ers Harvey, Puryear and Mayor Pro Tem McNutt (3).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Harvey that the
Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah of the northeast corner
of Lot No. 318 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery to Hamock

$37.02 for damages to their 1964 Ford Station Wagon caused by a city refuse truck
striking the vehicle near 29th and Cornell Streets on April 16, 1969, be allowed,
and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay same after first obtaining a
complete and final release for any and all claims from both parties. Adopted on
