At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on June 18, 1968, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answ.red to their names: Commission
Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4), Commissioner Harvey being absent (1).
Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear that the executed
copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on June 18, 1968,
be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert,
McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4).
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that the
executed copy of the contract between the City of Paducah and Delta Refining Company
be received and filed, and that the performance bond required by said contract,
executed by said Company as principal and United States Fidelity and Guaranty
Company of Baltimore, Maryland as surety, be received, approved and filed. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4)
Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that the
i Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Mrs. Bailey Thompson
of the southeast and southwest corners of Lot No. 365 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing
Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a
deed of conveyance to said cemetery graves. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4).
Commissioner McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the

executed copy of a lease dated June 11, 1968, between the City of Paducah and TOC
Marine Service, Inc., of certain property bordering the bank of the Tennessee River,
be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert,
McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4).
y/ Commissioner McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the
rider dated June 10, 1968 for the Subdivision Bond No. 30222-12-139-68 issued by the
United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company on behalf of Heather Hill, Inc., together
with the letter of transmittal addressed to the Corporation Counsel, be received
and filed and that said rider be accepted and made a part of the original subdivision
bond. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear
and Mayor Cherry (4).
Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that the
following bids for new parts for an HD5 Dozer, be received and filed:
Kentucky Machinery Company
W. E. Anderson Construction Company
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and
Mayor Cherry (4).

Rachel Adamc Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert that the following

personnel changes be made:
Louis Adams
Finance 1. Rachel Adams be employed as stenographer in the Record Room of the Police Dept.
i at a salary of $290.00 per month, retroactive to June 17, 1968.
W.G.Manley
Andrew Marsh 11'2. Louis M. Adams be employed as temporary license inspector in the Finance Office,
Cemetery retroactive to June 14, 1968, at a salary of $300.00 per month plus an auto
allowance of $60.00 per month.
Terminate
R.R.Frensley l' 3. The following persons be employed as seasonal laborers in the Cemetery Department,
Cemetery .I at a salary of $1.75 per hour:
W.E.Green William Gary Manley, retroactive to June 7, 1968
resignation's Andrew Marshall, retroactive to June 6, 1968
4. Robert Rot Frensley, Jr., seasonal laborer in the Cemetery Department, be
terminated, effective June 4, 1968.
5. The resignation of William E. Green, temporary dog warden, effective June 17, 1968
at 2:30 p.m. be accepted.

AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE"
