Massie appointed Mun Housing Commission Approve appointment Robert C j Massie Housing Com Pay Guthrie May land fo: open space At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on March 5, 1968, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on March 5, 1968, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the resignation of Rev. W. G. Harvey as a member of the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission, be received, accepted and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Harvey, Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Chcrry made the following appointment: Rev. W. G. Harvey having resigned as a member of the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission, I hereby, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners, appoint Robert C. Massie as a member of said Commission for the unexpired term of the said Rev. W. G. Harvey, so that said Commission as now constituted shall be composed of the following members: Ray H. Mullen, Jr. whose term expires July 22, 1968 C. C. McDowell, whose term expires July 22, 1969 Robert C. Massie, whose term expires July 22, 1970 Elizabeth D. Hemmer, whose term expires July 22, 1971 Robert C. Cherry appointin, Robert C. Massie as a member of the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission for t unexpired term of Rev. W. G. Harvey. Commissioner Harvey offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert as follows: I move that the letter of Guthrie May and Alice G. May to Joe C. Marshall authorizing Joe C. Marshall to act as trustee for disbursing funds paid by the City of Paducah for the purchase of land from Guthrie May and Alice G. May, be received and filed; and I further move that the City Manager be instructed to prepare a check payable to Joe C. Marshall, Trustee, from the Cumulative Public Works Reserve Fund, in the amount of $37,500.00 for final payment in full for the purchase of land autljorized by ordinance, passed February 21, 1966, and of record in Ordinance Book 16, page 474.
