Reappoint Gresham Houg appoint Noble Clark Urban Renews At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on February 27, 1968, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for February 13 and 21, 1968 be waived and that the Minutes of said Meeting prepared by the City Cler be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt that Rev. W. G. Harvey be appointed as a Commissioner of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to fill the vacancy created by the death of William E. Fellers, such appointment to be effective March 1, 1968, or as soon thereafter as said Rev. W. G. Harvey qualifies for such office by taking the oath of office provided by law, and executing bond as such commissioner as provided by law, and the term of said office of Rev. W. G. Harvey shall continue until his successor is duly elected according to law. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry made the following appointment: It appearing that the term of John Oehlschlaeger as a member of the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paudcah, II Kentucky, expired on February 6, 1968, I now therefore reappoint the said John J Oehlschlaeger as a member of said Board for a further term of four (4) years expiring February 6, 1972, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that the Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Robert C. Cherry reappointing John Oehlschlaeger as a member of the Electric Plant Board for a term ending February 6, i 1972. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry made-iihe following appointment: WHEREAS the term of office of Gresham Hougland and Joaquin Seltzer as members of the Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency expired on February 23, 1968. j NOW THEREFORE, subject to the approval of the Board of Commissioners I hereby i reappoint Gresham Hougland to serve as a member of said Board for a further term of four (4) years, and I hereby appoint Noble Clark as a member of said Board for a term of four (4) years, so that said Board as now constituted shall be composed of the following members: W. C. Young whose term expires February 23, 1969 Dr. Norman A. Parrott whose term expires February 23, 1970 Joseph H. Freeland whose term expires February 23, 1971 Gresham Hougland whose term expires February 23, 1972 Noble Clark whose term expires February 23, 1972 Nc, 159 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of PaducaR February 27,_ 1968 Approve Gresham �� Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that the Hougland and Noble Clark - Urban I Board of Commissioners approve the action of Mayor Robert C. Cherry reappointing Renewal Board I Gresham Hougland and appointing Noble Clark as members of the Urban Renewal and ;I Community Development Agency of the City of Paducah. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Publish condensed'�; Commissioner Lambert offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that form of Audit for 1967 )I the Acting City Treasurer be directed to publish a condensed form of the Audit Report of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for the year ended December 31, 1967, which was I prepared by Cotton & Allen, Certified Public Accountants. He further moved that the Acting City Treasurer be directed to furnish to the County Court Clerk a copy of the complete audit immediately after publication. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Letter Katie W. t/ Commissioner McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear that Freeman recommending W.G.Harvey for the letter of Katie W. Freeman requesting the appointment of Rev. W. G. Harvey as Commissioner City Commissioner, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Sell grave Rushing Commissioner McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that the Addition to Doris' Allen Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Doris Allen of the I southeast corner of Lot No. 368 in Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove i Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). File Project Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that the Application -Airport Project Application, dated November 1, 1967, between the Paducah Airport Corporation and the Federal Aviation Administration for a Grant for improvements at Barkley Field, be received, approved and filed. Commissioner McNutt offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNIN COMMISSION RESPECTING THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 19-C-1 OF THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE - 1961, AND AMENDING SAID SECTION", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Puryear offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Lambert, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF $2,582.19 TO ALLAN RHODES, INC., TO COMPENSATE FOR DAMAGE TO POLICE CARS NOS. 1, 2, 4, 5 AND 10 AUTHORIZED TO BE TRADED TO SAID ALLAN RHODES, INC. UPON NEW MOTOR VEHICLES, BY ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON OCTOBER 24, 1967", be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Mayor Cherry offered motion, seconded by Commissioner McNutt, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AS CO-SPONSOR, A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR IMPROVEMENTS ATBARKLEY FIELD", be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in w hich it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Lambert, McNutt, Puryear and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered motion,seconded by Commissioner Puryear, that an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY ONE-WAY STREETS, LIMITING THE USE THEREOF AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF', WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON SEPTEMBER 20, 1966 AND AMENDED ON JUNE 27, 1967", be adopted.
