At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on December 27, 1967,
Mayor Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5).
Mayor Wilson offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on December 27, 1967, be received and filed. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and
Mayor Wilson (5).
Mayor Wilson made the following appointment: Mrs. John B. Blackburn having
resigned as a member of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Public Library, I hereby
appoint Miss Mary Yeiser as a member of said Board to fill the unexpired term of the
said Mrs. John B. Blackburn, so that said Board will be composed of the following
members:
David Sawyer whose term expires June 14, 1968

Rev. H. J. Simpson whose term expires June 14, 1968
August J. Legeay whose term expires June 14, 1970
Mary Yeiser whose term expires June 14, 1970 !
Wilds W. Olive whose term expires June 14, 1971

Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg,
that on the recommendation of the City Manager, Mr. Bill Moore, a temporary laborer
in the Parks, Recreation and Cemetery Department, be employed as a permanent laborer
in said department, at a salary of $1.75 per hour, effective January 1, 1968. Adopted

Commissioner Johnston offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg,
that exonerations prepared and delivered by the City Treasurer, being Bills No. 3002
through 3100 and 3186 through 3192 inclusive, be received and filed, and that the+
amount of same totaling $3,812.71 be exonerated on the tax bills shown and designated II
by said exonerations. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, I
Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5).
Commissioner Kressenberg offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Johnston,
that the resignation of B. Cowles Mallory as City Manager, effective February 1, 1968,
be received, accepted and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Johnston, Kressenberg, Paxton, Puryear and Mayor Wilson (5).
Commissioner Kressenberg offered motion, seconded by Mayor Wilson, that Tyler
C. Bourne be employed as special Counsel for the City of Paducah, retroactive to
December 16, 1967, at a salary of $200.00 per month. LOST on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioner Kressenberg and Mayor Wilson (2), Nays, Commissioners Johnston,
Paxton and Puryear (3).

Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said

ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE STATEMENT OF ANTICIPATED REVENUE OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1967; REVISING AND AMENDING THE APPROPRIATION
OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS, REVENUE AND INCOME ON HAND, AND COLLECTED AND TO BE COLLECTED
