At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on October 26, 1965, idayor
Wilson presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners Davis, Hornsby, Kressenberg, Parrott and Mayor Wilson (5).
Mayor Wilson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for October 12 and
20, 1965 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings prepared by the City Clerk
be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis,
Hornsby, Kressenberg, Parrott and Mayor'etilson (5).
Commissioner Kressenberg offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Parrott, that
the petition of Harold Clark, 1127 Miller Street, and others, requesting a new bridre
be constructed in the 1100 block on Miller Street, near the dead end of same, be receive
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Hornsby, Kressonbe g,
t and Mayor Wilson (5).
Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, as follows
On recommendation of the City Nianaper, I move that the following personnel changes be
made:
1. Robert Thompson, an Applicant -Candidate in the Fire Department,
has satisfactorily completed the 60 day training period as such
Applicant -Candidate as provided by ordinance, he is hereby ap-
pointed a fireman in the Fire Department at a salary of $325.00
per month, retroactive to October 16, 1965.
2. Nancy Elizabeth Dummer be employed as substitute Tap and Ballet
Instructor in the Parks and Recreation Department under Class H,
at a salary of $3.00 per session, effective November 1, 1965•
3. The employment of Frank F. Cousins as Assistant Janitor, in the
Maintenance Department, be terminated effective June 7, 1965.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Hornsby, Kressenberg, Parrott
and Mayor Wilson (5).
Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that the
Poard of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to Dr. Marion T. and
Jeanne Bichon of a portion of a cemetery lot, being 16 feet by 11 feet, located on
the northeast corner of Lot No. 98 in Section No, 7 of Oak Orove Cemetery, for the
sum of ."180.00, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance
r.o said cenetery property. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis,
Hornsi.v, Yressenberg, Parrott and Mayor Wilson (5).
Comnissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Davis, that an
