Insurance Company to Pobbv Futler d/b/a Bobby Butler "oncrete Contractor, for a period
of one year from July 27, 1961, he received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of t

Circus on Streets. Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby as follows:
Letter Retail
A:errharts I move that the letter of Ceorre C. Sexten, President of Retail Merchants ^ssociation,
dated June 10, 1961, relative to a circus on the streets of Paducah in August, be
received and filed, said letter reading• in words and figures as follows:
"We would like to have permission to have a free circus on the
streets, we would block Broadway off from 6th to 2nd for one week.
We will keep all intersections open for traffic and we will
maintain a IL ft. fire lane on Broadway. The circus will carry
adequate insurance to protect the city of Paducah and the Retail
Merchants Association. The date of the promotion is August 23rd
thru Aueust 28th. In as much as traffic is very lir-ht on Sunday
afternoon on Broadway we would like to block the street Sunday
at 1:00 P.M. in order that the circus can set up their equipment.
It will be necessary to inform the City Bus Co. so they can adiust
the bus routinr during this promotion. We will also need a city
permit, riving us permission to have the circus."
I further move that such permission be rranted and that the City Manager be, and
he is herebv, instructed to notify the Chief of Police, the Chief of the Fire Departmen
