At a Called Meeting of the hoard of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentuckv, at 4:30 P.M. on September 22, 1964, Mayor Wilson
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner
Davis, Fendley, Hornsby and Mayor Wilson (4), Commissioner Kressenberr being absent (1)
Mayor Wilson offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 4:30 P.M. on September 22, 1964, be received and filed. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hornsby and Mayor Wilson (4).
Terminate
Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fendley as follows:

Upon recommendation of Ray Kayse, Director of Public Works, I move that the services
of D. W. Solomon, a temporary laborer in the Street Division of the Public Works
iDepartment,
be terminated as of September 11, 1964. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hornsby and Mayor Wilson (4).
Settlement
Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fendley that the

reports of the Paducah Water Works be received and filed, and that the following checks
August 1964
be turned over to the City Treasurer to be deposited in the proper accounts:
Refuse collections for August, 1964 $9,949.90
Sewer Service Charles for August, 1964 9,411.50

Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fendley that the

W. T. Wilkinson and the City of Paducah, Kentudky, for a period of one year from
September 14, 1964, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hornsby and Mayor Wilson (4).

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Davis that the
liability insurance policy issued by The Aetna Casualty and Surety Company to Bobby But
d/b/a Bobbv Butler Concrete Contractor, for a period of one year from July 27; 1964,
together with Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 dated July 27, 1964, be received, approve
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hornsby
and Mayor Wilson (4).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Davis that the
following bids on three validating and receipting machines for the Finance Department
be received and filed:

Commissioner Fendley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Davis that a
resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF THEATER SEATING (COUNCIL
CHAMBER) AND PEW SEATING (POLICE COURT) FOR THE NEW CITY HALL BUILDING", be adopted.
