Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hornsby, Kressenberr and Mayor Milson (5). Commending Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fendley that copy of Parks, etc. Sprinkler Sys a Resolution adopted by the Four Seasons Garden Club commending_ the Parks, Playground tem and Recreation Board of the City of Paducah for the installation and use of the new sprinkler system in the parkway on 10th Street between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue and for resuming the operation and use of the sprinkler system previously installed in the park -way on Jefferson Street, be received and filed. Cordon Commissioner Davis offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Fendley, that Paul E. St. Dept Lab.j✓ placed under Gordon, a laborer in the Street Division of the Department of Public Works, be placed civil service under Civil Service for such position, effective September 9, 1964, and that he be i entitled to all rights under Civil Service prarided by law and ordinances. Ernest Ordway! / Commissioner Fendley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Davis that the Resignation VVV Maint. Dept. letter of resignation of Ernest Ordway, a member of the Maintenance Department of the City, effective October 1, 1964, be received, accepted and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hornsby, Kressenberr and Mayor Wilson (5). Lester E Wrirht Commissioner Fendley offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Davis, that Lester E1 St. Dept. Lab, Z placed under Hrirht, a laborer in the Street Division of the Public Works Department, be placed under civil ser•r_re Civil Service for such position, effective September 1.0, 1964, and that he be entitled to all rights under Civil Service provided for by law and ordinances. Commissioner Kressenbera offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that St. Dept Lab place under Charles E. Bundren, a laborer in the street division of the Department of Public Works, civil service be placed under Civil Service for such position, effective September 11, 1964, and that he be entitled to all rights under Civil Service provided for by law and ordinances. 'Wyatt Commissioner Kressenberr offered motion, seconded by Commissioner Hornsby, that Temp. Maint- Helper Joe D. Wyatt be employed temporarily as a Maintenance Helper in the Maintenance Depart employ I ment of the City of Paducah, at a salary of $265.00 per month, retroactive to August 17, 196L. Such employment not being under civil service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Com.nissioners Davis, Fendley, Hornsby, Kressenbera and Mayor Wilson (5). I now therefore move that said ordinance be reconsidered by this Board and that after such reconsideration if the ordinance is not then repealed, this Board shall submit to the voters of the city at the next regular election the question as to w; or not the ordinance shall go into effect.
