Proceedings of RnarA of rnmmissioner__s—_—______._._.__—_ City of Paducah May 26,_1966 I Water main on V Commissioner Hornsby offered the following motion which was seconded by Commissic i.arrie Street er Kressenberr: It appears from a letter dated May 20, 1964, filed by the Commissioner of Nater Works that they recommend the installation of 263 feet of 6 inch water main and 1 fire hvdrant alone Margie Street from Bridge Street in a northerly direction to hsupply domestic water and fire protection in this area. I,therefore, move that the letter of the Commissioners of Water Works be received and filed and that the Paducah Water Works, through its Board of Commissioners, be authorized to install the water main and fire hydrant as requested. I further move that the adoption of this resolution be considered an agreement on the part of the City of Paducah to pay the fire hydrant and main rental, as provided in the franchise, on the water main and fire hydrant referred to in the letter of the Commissioners of Water Works, said rental to begin when said main and fire hydrant have been installed and placed in service. Employ temporary Commissioner Hornsby offered motion seconded by Commissioner Kressenberg as laborers in St, t/ Division follows: I move that the following named persons be, and they are hereby, employed in the Street Division of the Public Works Department as temporary laborers, effective June 1, 1966 at a salary of X1.35 per hour: Thomas G. Swatzell Such employment is temporary and no civil service rights or other rights under any law or ordinance shall be covered by this employment.
