At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission. Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:00 P.M. on December 27, 1962, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following; answered to their names: Commissioners
Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
I-ayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Meetin,
held at 5:00 P.M. on December 27, 1962, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
9 Commissioner Karnes offered motion that the petition of Jim :']alter Corporation and
Willia, May and wife, Betty May, for permission to make one 3/1, inch connection to the
privately owned 2 inch water pipe line located on Smith Avenue (sometimes known as Valley
Street) for the purpose of supplying water to one residence only on the property describe
in their petition and fronting on Smith Avenue beginning 852 feet northward of the inter=
section of the north line of Hovekamp Road and the wrest line of Smith Avenue, in McCracke.
County, Kentucky, and outside the Corporate Limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be
received and filed, and that the request petitinned for therein be granted, subject to th
terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the following bids received on Microfiln
Equipment, be received and filed:

, Commissioner Gholson offered motion that exonerations prepared and delivered by the
'6ity Treasurer, being 515 through 521, inclusive, be received and filed, and that the
amounts of same totaling $556.65 be exonerated on the tax bills shown and designated by
said exonerations. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson,
Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by I;ew
Amsterdam Casualty Company to Leslie A. Feast d/b/a Leslie Feast Construction Company &
Accustics and Specialties Company, for a period of one year from January 1, 1963, be
received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley,
Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Payor Cherry (5).

Mayor Cherry offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TF

Commissioner Fendley offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTIONS 12, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 39, 44, 46, 48, 49, 51, 52, 57, 64-A and 67
OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: 'AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND REGULATING THE LICENSE TAX'S, AND
MANNER AND FORM OF GRANTING AND ISSUING SAME ON THE VARIOUS LINES OF BUSINESS, TRADES,
OCCUPATIONS, PROFESSIONS, VOCATIONS AND CALLINGS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR NON-PAYMENT THEREOF, AND FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND MAKING IT
UNLAWFUL TO ENGAGE IN ANY SUCH LINES OF BUSINESS, TRADES, OCCUPATIONS, PROFESSIONS,
VOCATIONS AND CALLINGS WITHOUT FIRST PAYING THE LICENSE TAX AND PROCURING LICENSES AS
PROVIDED HEREIN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, AND PROVIDING A SEPARA-

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE STATEMENT OF ANTICIPATED REVENUE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE
YEAR 1962; REVISING AND ACZNDING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS, REVENUE AND
INCO140 ON HAND, AND COLLECTED AND TO BE COLLECTED IN SAID YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER
OF UNUSED APPROPRIATIONS FOR ONE PURPOSE TO ANOTHER PURPOSE; MAKING SUCH TRANSFERS;
APPROPRIATING AVAILABLE REVENUES NOT INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET FOR SAID YEAR; FIXING THE
APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED THEREIN; AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

ACCEPTING THE BID OF TAYLOR dILSON CHEVROLET-CADILLAC, INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF
ONE (1) NEW 1963 PICK-UP TRUCK FOR USE BY THE PARKS, PLAYGROUND AND RECREATION BOARD,AND
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be adoptee
