At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:00 P.M. on December 19, 1962, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners

Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called Reetin__
to be held at 5:00 P.M. on December 19, 1962, be received and filed. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).

Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the reports of the Paducah Water Works
be received and filed, and that the following checks be turned over to the City Treasure
to be deposited in the proper accounts:
Refuse collections for November, 1962 $9,366.50
Sevier Service Charges for November, 1962 9,480.00
Bad Refuse accounts collected during November 28.00
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes
and Mayor Cherry (5).
/ Commissioner Cholson offered motion that the Audit Report of Paducah Power System
for the ten (10) months period ended June 30, 1962, be received and filed. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor
Cj�erry ( 5) .
Commissioner Cholson offered motion that the following bids for Alterations to
Bathhouse, Noble Park, be received and filed:
Ellis & Thomason, Inc.
Harper & Gray
B. H. Green & Son
Crolley Construction Company
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and
I•"ayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Karnes offered the following motion: It appearing that Clint Cunningha ,
a Captain in the Fire' Department of the City of Paducah, is scheduled for retirement from
said department on December 31, 1962 under the terms and provisions of an ordinance
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of said city on March 13, 1962, and has requested
by letter that his employment as such be continued, and that such continuation has been
recommended by letter of Ed Turner, Chief of said department. I move that this Board
declare that continuation of such employment will be for the best interest of said city,
and that such employment be continued until mid -night on the 30th day of June, 1963,
unless terminated prior to such time by operation of law. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).

Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copy of the Contract between the City
of Paducah and Sunray D -X Oil Company, for the sale to the City of its requirements of
petroleum products, from Januar•: 1, 1963 to June 30, 1963, be received and filed.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and
Mayor Cherry (5).

FEDERAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACCELERATION ACT", be adopted. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry
(5).
Commissioner Karnes offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT OFFER IN CONNECTION WITH PROJECT NO. APW-KY-1G FOR
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE PUBLIC I1ORKS ACCELERATION ACT", be adopted. Adopted oncal
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
At this point Mayor Cherry left the meeting and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson presided.
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE BID OF TAYLOR-111ILSON CHEVROLET-CADILLAC, INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF
ONE (1) NEW 1963 PICK-UP TRUCK FOR USE BY THE PARKS, PLAYGROUND AND RECREATION BOARD, AN.
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be intro-
duced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the complete,
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yea
Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
Commissioner Karnes offered motion that an ordinance entitled. "AN ORDINANCE
ACCEPTING THE BID OF KING-11100DALL MOTORS, INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) NEW
1963 FORD TRUCK FOR USE BY THE PARKS, PLAYGROUND AND RECREATION BOARD, AND PRESCRIBING
THE TERI•IS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be introduced and
remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
Mayor Pro Tem Gholson offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "API ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE STATEMENT OF ANTICIPATED REVENUE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE
YEAR 1962; REVISING AND AI.IENDING THE AP.PORPRIATION OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS, REVENUE AND
INCOME ON HAND, AND COLLECTED AND TO BE COLLECTED IN SAID YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER
OF UNUSED APPROPRIATIONS FOR ONE PURPOSE TO ANOTHER PURPOSE;MAKING SUCH TRANSFERS;
APPROPRIATING AVAILABLE REVENUES NOT INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET FOR SAID YEAR; FIXING THE
APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED THEREIN; AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection
until the notice of the transfer of funds as provided herein shall have been published
as required by law, and shall be put upon its final passage after such publication.
