At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambe
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on October 9, 1962, I:ayor Pro Tem
Gholson presided in the absence of 11avor Cherry and upon call of the Roll the following
answered to their names: Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem
Gholson (4). Mayor Cherry absent.
Mavor Pro Tem Gholson offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for
September 25th and 28th, 1962 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared
by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Trayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the resignation of Charles Rayburn,
a laborer in the Maintenance Department of the City of Paducah, effective October 2, 1962
be received, accepted and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Payor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the

sale by the City of Paducah to Dorothy Trice of the northeast corner of Lot No. 315 in
Block No. 6 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be
authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
ve' Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the resignation of George W. Meadows,
a laborer in the Street Division of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, effective September
28, 1962, be received, accepted and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and MAyor Pro Tem Gholson (4).
/ Commissioner Karnes offered the following motion: Upon recommendation of Ray
Kayse, Director of Public Works, I move that L. A. Harris, a truck driver in the Street
Division, be advanced to equipment operator, effective October 16, 1962. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Pro Tem Gholson
(4).

Commissioner Fendley offered motion that an attected copy of a Resolution
adopted by the Electric Plant Board on September 26, 1962, relative to rates under
RS -5 (rural and farm residential service) and GS -5 (rural and farm general service) be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Hornsby,
