At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Charioer
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on May 22, 1962, I•:ayor 'herry presided
and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Fendley-,
Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading .of the I.inutes for A;ay E, 1962 be
waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved
as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson,
Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the petition of the Schneidman Road
Baptist Church for permission to make one 3A inch connection to an existing 2 inch
crater line known as the Schneidman Road 'Mater Line Pio. 2 and extending along Schneidman
Road, so as to furnish water to the church building located at Schneidman Road and
Thelbald Road in McCracken County Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City
of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed, and that the request in said petition be
granted in accordance with the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hornsby, Karnes and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner • Fendley offered motion that Henry S. Johnson be employed temporarily,
in the City Recreation Department, at a salary of *220.00 per month, effective June 11,

Water Company Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the proposed purchase by the Faducah

Dalton A. Goodall and wife, Charlotte Woodall, for the sum of $9,750.00, be approved.

Settle claim Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the claim of J. Y. O'Bannon (2110 Jacksor

in the amount of $12.00 for damages to his motor vehicle by a City Fire Truck, on or abor

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the letter from H. B. Gibbons, Acting
Manager of Paducah Plater :9orks, dated flay 21, 1962, regarding the execution of a lease
agfeement between the City of Paducah for the use and benefit of the Commissioners of
;later ."forks to Gulf Oil Corporation, be received and filed and further moved that the
Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute such lease, a copy of which is

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued
by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to ffilkins Construction Company, Inc.,
and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from March 2, 1962, also Bc
the said Jilkins Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $1000.00 dated May 1, 19f

Commissioner Hornsby offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the

Mayor Cherry offered motion that 'Jillie E. 1.1ilson, a truck driver 'Ln the

said division at a salary of $1.72 per hour, retroactive to May 16, 1962; such employ-

Mayor Cherry offered the following motion: Upon recommendation of Hubert
Grimmer, Director of Parks, I move that Aubrey W. Thompson be temporarily employed as
a policeman in the Park department of the city of Paducah, at a salary of $180.00
