At a Regular Meeting of the board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber)
of the :City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on !-lay 12, 1959, Mayor Jacobs
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner.
Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for April 28, 1959
be waived and that the Minutes of said Nesting as prepared by the City Clerk be
approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst,
Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Hook offered motion that the petition of Molly E. Reid, for permiss-
ion to make one 3/4 -inch connection to the existing i; inch water main owned by the
Paducah Water ttorks located on Oaks Road, for the purpose of furnishing water to one
residence only upon a lot fronting 62.05 feet on the west side of Oaks Road in AicCracke
County, Kentucky, and outside the city limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be
received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance w:lth
the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (5).
11 Commissioner Hook offered motion that the petition of Van D. Fiser and his wife,
Blanca R. Fiser, for permission to make one 3/4 -inch connection to the existing private-
ly owned water pipe line of the Husbands Road Community 'mater Company for the purpose
of furnishing water to one residence to be constructed upon a lot owned by petitioners
fronting 288.35 feet on the west side of husbands Road in I•icCracken County, Kentucky,
be received and filed and that the request petitioned for therein be -granted subject to
the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion as follows: I move that :•!alter Smith,
Temporary laborer in the Maintenance Department, be transferred to the Street Division
of the Public Vtorks Department, retroactively effective on May 11, 1959; 1 further move
that said dalter Smith be paid at the rate of •,)1.221 per hour for work in the Street
Division. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley,
Gholson, Hook and layor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that William H. Bundy be, and he is hereby,
employed as Chainman in the Engineering Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, at
a salary of •;220.00 per month, effective May 14, 1959. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Liayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that Floyd Lynn, Jr., be employed as a tempora
laborer in the :-:aintenance Department of the City of Paducah at the salary of ,212.00
per month, effective as of i<ay 11, 1959. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
