At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 6:30 P.i•i. on June 8, 1961, Mayor Cherry presided
and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Davis,
Fendley, Ghnlson, Hook and Clayor Cherry' (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 6:30 P.M. on June 8, 1961, be received and filed. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley,'Gholson, Hook, and Mayor Cherry (5).
/ Commissioner Fendley offered motion that Clarion Shelbourne, a patrolman in the
Police Department, be promoted to the rank of Sergeant in said department effective
June 16, 1961. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson and
Hook (3), Nays, Commissioner Davis and Mayor Cherry (2).

REGULATIONS; AND REPEALING ALL ORDII4ANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERFJITH",

Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the petition signed by residents,
property owners, businessmen and voters of the City of Paducah, between 11th Street and
28th Street on Kentucky Avenue requesting that the Board reconsider the ordinance by
which parking on Kentucky' Avenue between 11th Street and 28th Street has been banned,
and remove the no parking restrictions on this street between said points, be received an
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Hook and Mayor
Cherry (4).

Subdivision engaged in developing for residential purposes property located on Applewood Clay and
Miller Drive in Bellemeade Subdivision, City of Paducah, Kentucky, and said developers
desire that an extension of the existing water main be made so as to provide water
service to the property above referred to.
It appears from the endorsement by the Board of Commissioners of :'later :dorks

move that the application of Tiley & Lackey Realtors be accepted and approved and that

agreement for the laying of said extension and that the Board of Commissioners of
iPaducah 'dater ldorks be authorized to install a six inch water main along Applewood :lay,
beginning at the existing main on Peachtree Lane and extend in a northerly direction to
the intersection of I•tiller Drive; thence westerly along Miller Drive to the intersection
i of Kennedy Road, a distance of approximately 1,235 feet.
I further move that the adoption of this resolution and the granting of the
irequest contained in said application be considered as an agreement on the part of the
City of Paducah to pay the fire hydrant and water main rental, as provided in the
franchise, on the pipe line referred to in petition and in this motion. Said rental to
begin when said :rater main has been installed and water provided for on the street

Block No. 8 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk
be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call

Street) against the City for damages to his motor behicle by an alleged defect on North
