Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on January 10, 1961, N

Commissioner Davis offered motion that the reports of the Paducah !later 'Jo

Commissioner Davis offered motion that the executed copy of the Contract b
the City of Paducah and D -X Sunray Oil Company, for the sale to the City of Petroleum
products from January 1, 1961 to June 30, 1961, be received and filed. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and I%iayor Cherry (4).
Commissioner Davis offered motion that Don H. English be appointed Alcoholic
Beverage Administrator for the City at a monthly salary of ;1300.00, effective January 16;
1961, provided by such time he executed bond as required by law. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Cherry (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the report of the Police Department for
the month of December, 1960, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll,
Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Cherry (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
sale by the City of Paducah to Jack Overstreet of the north east corner of Lot 18 in
Block 8 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be
authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Cherry (4).

Liability Ins. Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by

New Amsterdam Casualty Company covering work done by Leslie Feast for a period of one
year from January 1, 1961, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Cherry (4).
Liability Ins. Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by

The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to Ed Dorms & Son, Inc. and the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from January 1, 1961, be received, approved
and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson
and Mayor Cherry (4).

Lucille Clark Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the resignation of Lucille H. Clark as

Hubert Grimmer Commissioner Gholson offered the following motion: Upon recommendation of the
employed Supt.
of City Parks Board of Park Commissioners, Hubert Grimmer is hereby employed as Superintendent of
City Parks, effective January 16, 1961, at a salary of •;3425.00 per month, said employmen
not being under civil service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Cherry (4).
Ceola Danner I Mayor Cherry offered motion that Mrs. Ceola Danner be temporarily employed as
employed Clerk -
typist in St. Clerk -typist in the Department of Public Works of the City of Paducah at a salary of
Dept.
$200.00 per month, effective January 11, 1961. Such appointment not being under
civil service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley,

Commissioner Fendley offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "Ai! ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, CONSISTIN
OF A TRACT OF LAPD CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 3.21 ACRES AND BUILDINGS THEREON, WHEREIN
GOVERNMENTAL FUNCTIONS OF SAID CITY AND DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES THEREOF MAY BE CARRIED
Oil; DESCRIBING SAID LAND BY METES AND BOUNDS; SETTING FORTH THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID
PROPERTY; PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF SAID PURCHASE PRICE FRObi THE PUBLIC WORKS CUMU-
LATIVE RESERVE FUND OF SAID CITY; AND SETTING FORTH THE CONDITIONS AND TERI•IS OF SUCH
PURCHASE AND PAYMENT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE", be introduced and remain on file for at
least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put
upon its final passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis,
Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Cherry (4).
