Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah December 27. 1960
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on December 27, 1960, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioner
Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4), Commissioner Davis being absent (1).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for December 13, 1960
be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City Clerk be approved
as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Eendley, Gholson, Hook
and Mayor Cherry (4).
Employ Mrs.1,1 Commissioner Fendley offered motion that Mrs. Jeanette Reaves be employed tempo -

Mayor sign Commissioner Gholson offered the follorring motion: I move that Robert C. Cherry,

I further move that a copy of same be received and filed. Adopted on call of

Mayor Cherry offered motion that Dr. Robert 14. Wooldridge be, and he is hereby,
appointed City Physician effective January 1, 1961, at a monthly salary of 3600.00 as
heretofore fixed by ordinance. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH D -X SUNRAY OIL COMPANY FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, MOTOR OIL, DIESEL FUEL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT,
GEAR LUBE OIL, HYDRAULIC OIL, KEROSENE AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, FOR THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM JANUARY 1, 1961 TO JURE 30, 1961, AND PRESCRIBING
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICB; SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE", be adopted. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).

AP4ENDING THE STATEMENT OF ANTICIPATED REVENUE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE
YEAR 1960; REVISING AND AMENDING THE APPROPRIATION OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS, REVENUE AND
INCOME ON HAND, AND COLLECTED AND TO BE COLLECTED IN SAID YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER
OF UNUSED APPROPRIATIONS FOR ONE PURPOSE TO ANOTHER PURPOSE; MAKING SUCH TRANSFERS;
APPROPRIATING AVAILABLE REVENUES NOT INCLUDED IN THE BUDGET FOR SAID YEAR; FIXING THE
APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED THEREIN; AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH'I, be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Commissioner Hook offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PUBLIC WORKS CUMULATIVE RESERVE FUND AS AUTHORIZED
BY SECTIONS 66.410 THROUGH 66.460 OF KENTUCKY REVISED STATUTES, AND FOR THE USES AND
PURPOSES SET FORTH IN SUCH SECTIONS; SETTING FORTH SUCH USES AND PURPOSES; PLACING AN
INITIAL AMOUNT OF X601,655.06 IN SAID FUND AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE REAPPORTIONMENT ORDI-
NANCE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR THE YEAR 1960, WHICH ORDINANCE WAS ADOPTED BY
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SAID CITY ON DECEMBER 27, 1960; PROVIDING FOR THE
ACCUMULATION OF SAID FUND AND THE WAYS AND MEANS BY WHICH OTHER 14011EY MAY BE PAID;
TRANSFERRED OR CREDITED TO SAID FUND; AIJD REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (4).
